The General Legal Council can’t save Akufo-Addo!

Saturday, March 23, 2013
My good friends, here is the latest insider information for you to know how Justice Kpegah’s lawsuit has shaken the Akufo-Addo camp and his supporters in the ranks of the Ghanaian legal system despite their outward show of empty bravado.
Very reliable information indicates that the General Legal Council has met on the Kpegah versus Akufo-Addo case. The main agenda was to resolve the anomaly—the very substance of Justice Kpegah’s suit against Akufo-Addo.
During deliberations, it became clear that the General Legal Council members were divided. A group worked for the issue to be decided in favour of Akufo-Addo but the other group opposed it. The members could, therefore, not come to a consensus and adjourned the meeting. We don’t know when they will reconvene.

MY COMMENTS

The Ghanaian Judiciary is indeed choked with the kind of filth/rot that will need more than a “House Cleaning Exercise” to set right.

Despite all the noise that the Akufo-Addo camp is making and the insults being hurled at Justice Kpegah for suing Akufo-Addo, a lot is happening behind our back to favour Akufo-Addo.
Why is the General Legal Council meeting to pre-empt a case brought against Akufo-Addo that is to be heard in court?
From what I have gathered, there is conspiracy among those Akufo-Addo supporters in the General Legal Council to skew the matter in his favour. It is clear to me that steps may be taken behind the scene to doctor documents and for the anti-Kpegah rhetoric to be intensified to discredit him.
That is the strategy being used to create a bad impression about him so with the manouevres by those on the General Legal Council supporting Akufo-Addo, the case could be dismissed outright when first called.
Clearly, those in the General Legal Council supporting Akufo-Addo think they are being too smart; but they are not. The point is that instead of letting the world know that what Justice Kpegah is suing Akufo-Addo for is right, they are using the back door to save him. This kind of subterfuge is unacceptable and will be resisted fiercely. This is the warning to the General Legal Council.
At the meeting, they were divided into two groups as to whom the disgrace will affect more. This is not fair. Meanwhile, Justice Kpegah has all the facts and search results, which those in the General Legal Council manipulating minds cannot take away from him. If they go ahead to destroy evidence already gathered, they will be creating conditions to bring the roof down on their own heads.
The fundamental issue that is bothering the Akufo-Addo sympathizers, which is an issue to be determined by the Court when it begins hearing the case is why Akufo-Addo was the only person called “to the bar” (placed on the roll) on July 8, 1975, which is not the norm. Some are claiming that Supreme Court Judge Atuguba was also called on that date, meaning that he was a “classmate” of Akufo-Addo!!
I hope the General Legal Council will know that we know what is happening in it and behave. If Akufo-Addo has nothing to fear or hide, he should prepare for court. The General Legal Council shouldn’t intervene on his behalf because it will trigger something they can’t contain.
Those who think insults will solve the problem for Akufo-Addo can intensify their bad-mouthing of Justice Kpegah and all of us commenting on the matter. We have developed a tough skin for those verbal missiles. I will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated.
I shall return…
